Deadpool #15 Review

Deadpool is oddly paranoid, feeling like he's being followed by "The Butler." So what does he do? Puts on a butler's uniform, makes some Downton Abbey jokes, and serves Wolver‌ine breakfast in bed.

Who Wants to Take My Con Virginity?

I should really hang my head in shame. This is my confession...I've never been to a convention. Ever. Not even anything close to resembling one. That is why this year I have decided to give my best effort to attend all the local conventions that I can.

Dear Diary, I want more time to play games...

I'm currently in my last few hours of my eight day vacation from work, and I'm looking back to see if I spent those days wisely, or if I just stared at the ceiling thinking, "What should I do?" I know I spent a lot of time on Minecraft this week, basically just hording minerals and then using creative mode anyway.

Nintendo Wii U Price Cut and Wind Waker Bundle!

Now for some Nintendo news to be excited about. September 20 will usher forth a $50 dollar price cut on the Wii U, as well as the release of the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Wii U bundle.

Does Anyone Really Need a Nintendo 2DS? Probably not!

Nintendo recently announced the imminent arrival of the NINTENDO 2DS for US $130. Basically all this is, is a permanently open 3DS without the 3D. That's right, if you are too lazy to close your 3DS lid and too stupid to operate the 3D slider, this is the handheld for you!

Shirt Punch Review

So, I finally got my Superman Goku/Wonderwoman Usagi shirt from Shirt Punch in the mail. Let me just say, I freaking love this website. I'll link it below. Anyway, Shirt Punch puts out three shirts a day and they're typically nerdy themed.

Microsoft Points Are So Over!

Today (yesterday? My nights and days are actually mixed up) Microsoft put an end to the point system and are going to be using local currency for XBL purchases from now on. This is pretty exciting, seeing as how confusing the whole point to money conversion system is.

Elder Scrolls Online Subscription

I've been excited about Elder Scrolls Online for a very long time, so much so that I almost even preordered it at Gamestop. For me, that's a huge deal. I don't preorder. Ever. So why does this recent news that Bethesda is going to charge a $15 a month subscription fee got me down?

Ben Affleck is Batman?

It's been at least 24 hours since the announcement, but the internet is still going wild over Ben Affleck starring as Batman in the sequel to Man of Steel.

Saints Row IV Hotdog Suit, Here I Come!

Hello, World! I would just like to make an announcement that I finally cracked and bought Saints Row IV. I knew I would though.

Skyrim Ramblings

I really haven't gotten to game much this weekend. I did a couple hours of Skyrim last night, a couple hours of Minecraft the day before that, but that's been about it for this weekend.

Should I Play Call of Duty Ghosts?

There has been a lot of news surrounding Call of Duty Ghosts lately, with announcements surrounding multiplayer customization and the newly announced Prestige Edition.

First off, this is the first Call of Duty where you can play as a female. This is in multiplayer where you can create a fully customized character. There are supposed to be over 20,000 unique combinations for character creation. I for one, can see myself making a Mass Effect Ashley Williams clone for this game.

Another announcement is the Prestige Edition. This is going to cost US $199.99 and will be released on both new and old generations of the current systems. The big item unique to this edition is the "tactical camera" which Activision says is just as well made as any tactical camera on the market. Why a tactical camera? It's based on a mission where you have a camera in your helmet. The camera itself comes with three attachments, editing software, and a 4GB memory card. You also get everything that's supposed to come in the Hardened Edition ($119.99), a paracord strap, steel game case, and a season pass for the game. The pre-order bonus for both editions is the Free Fall map.

For some reason lately, I've been following the news on this game. I don't know why because I'm not a Call of Duty fan at all. In fact, I consider myself a COD hater. That's what working three midnight releases at Gamestop for Call of Duty will do to you. I feel sure that this Call of Duty will follow the same formula as the Modern Warfare and Black Ops games, but some of these new features are somewhat intriguing for a hater like me. Especially for the RPG lover in me, I feel obligated to try out the multiplayer character customization.

Do you think Call of Duty Ghosts is an improvement from the others? Let me know in the comments below.

The Humble Origin Bundle!

Even cooler things happening than Deadpool today (Sorry, Deadpool). It's the Humble Bundle!! Be sure to go to HumbleBundle.com and get yours today!!

Okay, enough excitement. What is a humble bundle anyway? Basically, the website offers you somewhere around 5-8 games in a bundle, you decide how much you want to spend on it, and the amount you decide on goes to charity. Usually humble bundles are indie games, but this week it's all EA games. You get codes for Mirror's Edge, Dead Space 1 and 3, Burnout Paradise, Medal of Honor, and  Crysis 2 Maximum Edition. If you spend more than the average amount, which as of right now is $4.71, they will throw in Battlefield 3 and Sims 3 Starter Pack, which has the base Sims 3 game and High End Loft and Late Night expansions. This is seriously a great deal, even if you're only excited about one game in the bundle. I'm a cheap bastard and I spent $5 and got everything. You also get the codes for each game separately, so I gave out the codes to the games I already had to people I know. They can be used on Steam or on Origin, except for Battlefield 3 and Sims 3.

So what are you waiting for? Get your Humble Bundle now!

Deadpool 13 -14

I just finished reading Deadpool #14 and loved it. These images are from #13 which leads up to this week's Deadpool. Basically, in #13, the writers try to pass off the issue as a "long lost issue from the 70's," even though we all know Deadpool's first appearance was in 1991. #14 is the modern day consequences of what happened in #13. I love seeing Deadpool in his pimp attire and afro. These issues are definitely worth the read.

Deadpool, Elysium, and Everquest Next!

Today is a very busy day for me because it's my last night off for the week and I've got a lot of gaming and video-watching to catch up on. Plus, I'm going to see Elysium later tonight, so expect a decent review here in the next couple of days.

I also just got the Deadpool game on PC, so I'll review that too. Anyone who knows me knows that I am Deadpool's biggest fan. I've come close to reading every comic book he's in, so I know what to expect. He's not for everyone and I know what I'm getting myself into. I'll also review Deadpool Kills Deadpool along with it.

I'm also very interested in Everquest Next. From what I've read of it, they're really trying to change the whole genre of MMOs. I never played EQ, but I did play WOW forever, so I'll know what I'm doing...I think. So far all I know is you start out playing events. In your starting area you're in a camp and you're close by a Goblin King. He knows you're they're and he can react to you in several random ways. He might go on the offensive and attack, or you might have to attack him. I'll have to do some more research on this, but I'm very intrigued. I'll come up with a new story on it soon enough.

This is day 2 with my new MSI laptop. Here are some cool things about it: It has a built in SteelSeries keyboard (which is backlit). I have a button that turns on the fan for when it gets hot. I have 2 graphics cards - the NVIDIA GTX 765 turns on when I have a game running and the built in Intel card runs when I'm just doing stuff online. There will be more to come on that.

Last but not least, I just got into Minecraft yesterday, so that is on my to-do list for tonight. I'm planning on clearing out a large space to build a castle. My boyfriend said I'd never catch on to Minecraft because "I'm not creative." But I said, "Bitch, please." and I'm about to prove him wrong.

Now, I can cross off "write a blog post" off my to-do list and "play an hour of Starcraft 2" since I did that earlier.

Keep watching for more posts and be sure to say Hi in the comments so I'll know someone is reading this!

Two Things I'm Excited About...Dragon Age: Inquisition

Today has been a really big day for me. I just got my MSI laptop in the mail today. It is awesome. I will do a review on that later after I use it for a couple days.

Another big thing I am excited about is all the news about Dragon Age Inquisition. The BioWare game will be on the cover of this month's Game Informer. I've heard a lot of new things about the game this week.

Some of the awesome new features on this game go back to what we all loved in Dragon Age Origins. You get to pick your race from human, dwarf, and elf. There's a possible fourth race in the works and it might be Quanari! The way you are treated in the game is based off the race you choose.

Also, DA3 will be optimized for keyboard and mouse if you buy it on PC. This goes back to Dragon Age Origins. If you played both the PC and console versions, they felt like two different games. Dragon Age Origins had more of a tactical approach on PC than the console. The game will also be on the Frostbite 3 engine, and will be all around graphically superior on the PC than on console.

One last new feature will be mounts. Mounts! There isn't too much information on it now, but I'm sure it will be in this month's Game Informer. Be sure to check out the video below where GI talks to the developers at BioWare, featuring gameplay!

SteelSeries Siberia V2 Headset

A couple days ago, I received my SteelSeries Siberia V2 pink headset in the mail. I really wanted the purple, but they were over $90. The pink set was $69.99 at the time on Amazon and now all the colors are back to $89.99 as of today.

I was upgrading from my Turtle Beach X12s. My only beef with the X12s was with comfort. After about 5 minutes of wearing them, I felt like I had a vice grip on my head. After 30 minutes of wear, I usually had a massive headache and had to go lay down on the couch. My SteelSeries are the perfect remedy for that. I could probably wear them for 12 hours at a time with no problem. I especially like that the microphone is retractable for when I'm just listening to music or playing a single player game. Also, they cancel out any noise, which is great because my boyfriend's desk is right beside mine and he is always being loud when playing DOTA 2. This headset complete cancels that out and I can concentrate better when I play Starcraft 2.

My only problem with this headset is when I'm talking to people, I can hear myself. I never had that with the X12s. I haven't yet found a remedy for it. Also, people complain that they can hear too much from my end and that they can hear me breathing. Luckily, the retractable microphone is bendable like the X12s so I can place it further away from my face. In the end, I'm very happy with my purchase. I pretty much use these exclusively for sound on my PC. I definitely don't regret my upgrade.
Just a quick update of some things I'm excited about and will be writing about soon...

Dragon Age Inquisition on the next cover of Game Informer!

My new SteelSeries Siberia headset in pink!

and...

Waiting on my new MSI laptop to ship to my house!

See you soon!
